Join a leading manufacturer of high-quality door and window systems. We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Yard Operative to join our team at IDM Doors. This is a vital role in ensuring our production facility remains safe, organized, and efficient. The Role
You will be responsible for the general upkeep of our busy yard and factory areas. Key duties include:
Waste Management: Efficiently emptying bins throughout the factory and loading skips.
Site Upkeep: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization across the yard and production floor.
Manual Handling: This role involves heavy lifting and physical activity.
General Maintenance: Using hand tools for basic DIY tasks as required.
Requirements
Reliability: A consistent and dependable approach to work.
Flexibility: Essential for managing skip turnarounds and waste collection schedules.
Physical Fitness: Comfortable with heavy lifting and outdoor work.
Skills: Previous experience with hand tools or general DIY skills is a distinct advantage.
Hours & Pay
Rate: £11.50 per hour.
Hours: Part-time (16–20 hours per week).
Contract: Fixed-term.
Overtime: Hours worked in excess of 39 per week are paid at time and a half (1.5x).
Standard Site Hours: Mon–Thu (08:00–16:30), Fri (08:00–15:30). Actual shift patterns to be agreed within these times.
