A Planned Farewell: Andrew Oldham Announces His Retirement

After 42 years in the industry, our Sales Director, Andrew Oldham, has announced his retirement, effective March 26th, 2026.

Andrew’s contribution to IDM Doors over the last six years has been substantial. He embedded himself in the culture established by directors, Ian and Dave over two decades ago, championing a “partnering ethos” with all our clients. We know many of you have valued his advice, his support, and yes, even his unique sense of humour.

The Succession Plan in Action

At IDM, we have always understood the importance of planned continuity. For the past 16 months, Andrew has been mentoring and training Guy Navarra, ensuring that the transition for our clients would be seamless.

As Andrew notes, Guy is now deeply “entrenched in Andrews values and the IDM way of ensuring we deliver to you the best products and service that you expect.”

Looking Forward

Guy will be taking over Andrew’s responsibilities, and alongside our experienced team (including long-term colleagues like Mary), nothing will change regarding the service and support you receive.

We have exciting changes ahead at IDM, designed to support the next generation of our team and further enhance how we partner with you.

A Thank You to Andrew

We want to publicly thank Andrew for his hard work, dedication, and the indelible mark he has left on the company. While we might joke that we will miss his long stories, we will certainly miss his presence.

We wish him all the best for his future, especially the well-deserved quality time with his granddaughter, Isla-May.

Please join us in wishing Andrew a very happy retirement. If you have any questions regarding your upcoming projects or the transition, please do not hesitate to reach out to Guy directly on 07511 331569 / guy.navarra@idmdoorsltd.co.uk
